Meet Tim
Tim Cummiskey is a versatile guitarist and educator from Central Ohio who leads and joins various groups in the Midwest. He plays solo jazz and classical guitar as well as larger ensemble configurations.

Tim performs regularly and conducts clinics at various Midwest institutions, OMEA, and the International Association of Jazz Educators annual meeting.
Bucky Pizzarelli praised Tim's second CD, "Redeeming the Time," as a masterpiece by a master plectrum player. Tim's first book, "Learning Tunes Workout," published by Mel Bay in 2005, received positive feedback from reviewers and readers.
Tim's 2013 album "Lamentation" also received acclaim from critics and public pollsters.
Tim has been a music faculty member at Kenyon College and Ohio State University School of Music. He is currently an apprentice to renowned church and liturgical composer Mike Martin and a member of the Upper Arlington Lutheran Church's music ministry team. Tim has worked with churches of all sizes and traditions as a professional musician and worship leader for more than 40 years. He improves every congregation he works with in terms of music and worship.
Tim writes for Jazz Improv, Just Jazz Guitar, and Downbeat Magazine. He is a Benedetto Guitars artist and advocate and a Mel Bay author.
